This year , decorate your tree with ornaments made with Biomaterials

Discover the beauty of bio-based creativity this festive season!
Join us in the ASCUS Lab for a hands-on workshop where we’ll explore mycelium, the root-like network of fungi that grows into strong, natural materials and kombucha biomaterial, a leather-like film grown from fermented tea with yeast and bacterial cells.

Together, we’ll craft unique eco-friendly Christmas ornaments from pre-made biomaterials whilst learning how these living materials grow, and discuss how biology and design meet to create sustainable art.

A friend’s and family event to celebrate the festive season for anyone and everyone.
