Primordial Soup | an evolving exhibition

Primordial Soup is an evolving exhibition made possible with the support of ASCUS art and science in partnership with The Number Shop, as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival

Opening on Saturday 4th, 6-8pm

ASCUS have collaborated with The Number Shop artists on personal projects with scientists across a variety of contemporary science research topics. The works being presented are the results of those collaborations. They will be using the whole building as exhibition space and throughout the two week period they will be making and showing new works so we highly recommend return visits.

Running 4th-19th April.
Open 12-5pm daily.
Opening evenings 6-8pm Saturday 4th, 11th, 18th.

Primordial Soup: Open Studio Evenings

Over the 2 weeks of the 2015 Edinburgh International Science Festival The Number Shop’s Primordial Soup exhibition was open daily displaying a diverse range of art and science collaborations. Selected open studio evenings took place throughout the exhibition period where visitors were able to have a drink, enjoy the work and talk to the artists about the project. The open evenings also allowed for the artistic process to be both accessible and approachable.

Here are some of the photographs taken from the open evenings and also a glimpse into how the exhibition evolved.
