eXXpedition – MAKING THE UNSEEN SEEN
eXXpedition is a series of all women voyages to make the unseen seen, from the toxics in our body to the toxics in our seas. Since 7th August 2017 eXXpedition has been circumnavigating Great Britain on board S.V. Sea Dragon stopping for events along the way. At ASCUS we are delighted to be partnering with eXXpedition to host the Team for ‘A Life in Plastic’ on the 26th of August, as they dock in the Port of Leith.
About the event

Spaces in ASCUS Lab are limited therefore if for reasons outwith your control you cannot make it on the day then please make sure to cancel your registration so that your place can be freed up for someone else to attend.

More about eXXpedition

During the eXXpedition voyage environmental samples are being collected to assess plastic and pollutants, feeding in these samples to wider studies investigating the impacts of toxics and plastics pollutants and linking this sampling to narratives of ecosystem health, personal health and the products we consume. The eXXpedition crew also participate in biomonitoring with the UN founded initiative ‘Safe Planet‘ to assess personal exposure to known toxic substances. Through personal exploration of our internal environment(MeSearch) the aim is to better understand the levels of toxic exposure in women.
