Announcing a new public engagement opportunity for scientists. Would you like to view your research through the eyes of an artist? ASCUS Art & Science have teamed up with The Number Shop (TNS) to develop this exciting project. Artists based at the Number Shop studios and project space, would like to connect with scientists to develop new work inspired by their research. This will happen over the month of March, in the lead up to the Edinburgh International Science Festival (EISF), one of Europe’s largest Science Festivals. Through this process the aim is to engage new and wider public audiences with current scientific research.

Here is how to apply:
- A short summary of your scientific research (max 250 words)
- Your time available to commit to the project
- Link to a relevant webpage (if applicable)
We would expect scientists and artists to be able to allocate a few hours each week to the collaboration in the run up to the EISF exhibition, making themselves and possibly resources (such as papers and data) and facilities (lab visits etc) available to the artists.
Applicants must be available for a studio visit and project launch event at TNS at 6.30pm on Monday 2nd March
